‘I am vey busy at the moment’: that’s how the legendary Wall artist Thierry Noir describes his design for VisibleWall’s ‘Kings Of Freedom’ edition.
Thierry Noir was, and remains, a ‘King of Freedom’. With his large-scale portraits, he left his mark on the western side of the Wall like hardly any other artist.

Whilst working on the Wall, Thierry always had to be on his guard against the border troops on the eastern side, who would come through secret doors in the Wall to stop the irreverent graffiti artists from doing their work. He therefore mostly painted at night and used bold colours that were clearly visible even in the dark.
Like all miniatures, it bears the individual base stamp ‘THIERRY NOIR Rosenthal’ from the KINGS OF FREEDOM limited edition 2009.
