Kiddy Citny

Artist
Kiddy Citny
Kiddy Citny is a German visual artist who was born in Stuttgart in 1957 and grew up in Bremen. At the age of 18, he moved to West Berlin, where he became one of the pioneering ‘Wall painters’ who adorned the Berlin Wall with their striking, large-scale murals. His politically charged works use symbolic imagery and aphorisms to criticise social and political realities – including the rapid process of German reunification. Citny’s art, which ranges from monumental murals to acrylic works on canvas, has been exhibited internationally and is represented in major collections such as the Märkisches Museum in Berlin and at the East Side Gallery.
Like all miniatures bearing the individual ‘Kiddy Citny © 2009’ floor stamp, this is part of the KINGS OF FREEDOM limited edition 2009.
