CINEMA FOR PEACE

As part of the ceremony to honour Nobel Peace Prize laureate Mikhail Gorbachev with the Cinema for Peace Honorary Award, two L-shaped Wall panels from VisibleWall were auctioned off at the Hotel Adlon in aid of the Raisa Gorbacheva Foundation.

The proceeds of more than 80,000 EUR went towards supporting the work of the Children’s Leukaemia Hospital in St Petersburg.

The ONE WORLD wall panel was designed by the artist Kiddy Citny and is being displayed as a peace memorial by its purchaser, MTV Networks International, in London.

As part of the annual CINEMA FOR PEACE galas in Berlin, original sections of the Berlin Wall were also exhibited and auctioned off to great public acclaim in 2010, 2011 and 2012 as symbols of peace.
